Meet the Therapists
Sandra Shevlin, DPT Dr. Shevlin has specialized in the treatment of urology and gynecology/obstetrics diagnoses for over 7 years. Sandra started with a nationally recognized physical therapy practice in Gainesville, Florida treating primarily pelvic pain and adhesion-based diagnoses. She designed the research study and protocol at that clinic on the impact of manual therapy on patients with dysmenorrhea. Also, she assisted with an article published on Medscape on “Treating female infertility and improving IVF Pregnancy rates with manual therapy techniques”. Dr. Haws passion and interest for treating patients with pelvic regional diagnoses started back in 2001 when she began her career as a certified Pilates instructor. With this strong foundation, Alexis further developed her interest and practice in Women’s/Men’s health while completing the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program from Regis University. Since completing the doctorate program, Alexis has focused her continuing education knowledge in urogynecoligcal diagnoses; attending several courses including manual therapy interventions for spinal and pelvic floor dysfunctions and management of pre-natal/post partum patients. Sandra moved to the Boulder area in 2004 and has expanded her focus to urology diagnoses in addition to the common spine, orthopedic, and gynecology/obstetrics patients. Sandra established her own physical therapy practice in 2008, dedicated solely to pelvic regional diagnoses.
A Nebraska native, Sandra graduated with a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha. Sandra continues to advance her skills through continuing education coursework and has completed over 300 CEU’s in Women’s/Men’s health specific courses.
In her spare time Sandra and her husband enjoy various activities together including: scuba diving, hiking, mountain biking, adventure racing, water/snow skiing and volleyball.
Alexis Haws, DPT
Alexis continues to enhance her skills through continuing education and is currently working towards gaining her certification in trigger point dry needling. With her unique experience with Pilates instruction and dry needling, combined with a focus on pelvic regional diagnoses, Alexis brings additional treatment options for Pelvic Therapy Specialist patients
As a native to Boulder, Alexis has always appreciated the outdoor opportunities Colorado provides. Alexis and her husband enjoy exploring the state and hope to have their newborn son skiing before too long In her spare time Alexis also enjoys running, hiking, swimming, tennis, skiing, horseback riding, and time spent with friends and family.

Dr. Miller has specialized in treating pelvic regional and orthopedic diagnoses for 18 plus years. Complimenting these specific treatment diagnoses, Jerri also practiced physical therapy in general for over 28 years and brings a wealth of experience to deliver the highest quality patient care.
As a testament to Jerri’s passion for physical therapy and thirst for more knowledge, she more recently undertook and completed the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Colorado- Denver in 2008. Jerri first graduated from Washington University in St. Louis completing a BS in Physical Therapy in 1981.
With an evidence based focus, she has completed numerous continuing education courses throughout her career with an emphasis on manual therapy, joint mobilization and manipulation, abdominal massage, classes on pelvic floor dysfunction, and trigger point dry needling.
Jerri moved to the Boulder area in 1991 and enjoys running, biking, hiking, scuba diving, skiing and reading. She also keeps up with two teenage sons who are active in music and sports activities.
Courtney Smith, DPT

Dr. Smith identified her passion for Women’s /Men’s Health physical therapy early in her education and career. Throughout her practice, Courtney has developed and refined evaluation and treatment of a wide range of orthopedic disorders, specifically focusing on lumbar and pelvic dysfunctions. Courtney graduated from Regis University receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. As a part of Courtney's continuing education in urogynecoligcal diagnoses, she has completed the certificate of completion of Pelvic Floor Function, Dysfunction and Treatment.
With a focus on evidence based practice and research, Courtney continues to enhance her knowledge and values the importance of continuing education. Currently she is working toward her certificate of specialty in the area of Women’s Health.
Courtney is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying skiing, hiking, backpacking and running. On the weekends you very well may find her exploring the backcountry of Colorado, playing guitar or photographing our incredible state.
